Disgusting

Disgusting! The bowls, flatbread, chia bowls are soooo gross!! They would only refund me for half of what I paid even though I complained several times how disgusting the food was. I threw the food away… it was unedible in my opinion. I did try the smoothies last year and did like the smoothies but not worth the price!!

Melted Boxes!

I can't review the taste/quality of food because both of my shipments have come thawed. I was so excited to try these products. My first order came with no dry ice remaining and products were not even slightly cold. I called customer service and they refunded my purchase. I asked for a new shipment to be sent out but was told I had to wait until my next delivery date, which was over a week away. Fine. I even got an email from customer service apologizing that order was melted and said they would make sure there was "extra" dry ice so this would not happen again. Clearly, that didn't happen. Order #2 also arrived with no dry ice remaining and products that were thawed and unsafe to consume. Both times, I received the package and opened within 1-2 HOURS of delivery. They claim that there is enough dry ice to last for 1-2 DAYS after delivery so something is not right. I again reached out to customer service and provided pictures of my box, etc and they refunded my second order. So the only reason I'm giving any stars at all is for the fact that customer service was helpful and refunded my order. I don't understand how a company that only ships frozen products, can't seem to pull this off. It's not like there is a heat wave or anything like that. I receive refrigerated medicine and other frozen meal services regularly with no issues. I am hesitant to try a third order even though I am interested in the products because it is so disappointing and wasteful to have to dispose of everything if it comes melted again!

Daily routine

Love the food, excellent customer service. Daily Harvest has become an important part of my routine. I like smoothies for breakfast and snacks, and have the flatbreads for dinner.

They Hide the Cancellation Option

I tried Daily Harvest for a while, but the options I enjoyed were often out of stock, and the price was a bit high considering what you get for the money. But I understand all that, and it's part of trying any meal-type delivery service.

What really annoyed me is that they make it very difficult to cancel your account. You cannot manage your plans from their app, and even on the website, you are required to "pause" your plan before you're even presented with an option to cancel your plan. It feels like they are trying to hide the ability to cancel your membership by forcing you to retain your plan. I know that means you aren't being billed, but it feels like a way to inflate their user numbers. I also understand that makes it easier for people to restart service if they want to, but they don't make it very clear that this is what has to be done to cancel an account. I tried looking for help in the terms of service but ultimately had to chat with a representative to figure it out, which is just another opportunity for them to try and sell me on staying by offering a discount or freebie. I don't like that tactic. Just allow people to manage their own plans/accounts and not have to go through someone to figure it out.

I experienced the food as terrible

I experienced the food as terrible. Some of the soups were like slop, revolting. The cauliflower bits were hard as rocks. Everything was completely bland. What were those big chunks of coconut in the soup? The soups with spinach & kelp were slimy. Everything seemed to be made of squash. After several days I could not bring myself to eat the food anymore. It had no taste & it didn't feel nurturing or nourishing. I would never have this food sent to me again. Risa

The “food“ is literally unrecognizable

The “food“ is literally unrecognizable. It looks like they found some shredded up food in a gutter and threw it in a cup or a bowl. No exaggeration at all. I wish that this was a quality product because I desperately need something like this in my life but I was disgusted when I received their products, I literally could not make out what food was what. Very disappointing.

I purchased DH for much of last year

I purchased DH for much of last year, but then their prices went up even more due to inflation? They have PLENTY of money. Their profit margin was already high and I’m aware that overhead costs are expensive, but they are charging $9 for 1.5 C of frozen fruit and a cup. You have to provide the milk and straw. The flatbreads are pretty good, but they use the stalk of the kale and the cheaper parts of the plant and then put that on a very thin, 8X4” flatbread for another $9-10. It’s such an enormous waste of money. I had to call to cancel and was asked to stay. I keep interrupting her speech trying to get me not to leave and said CANCEL IT NOW!!! Absolutely not worth the hype. I bought some cassava flour from Anthony’s brand on Amazon and make my own. Lasts many months. Stop being lazy and make your own damn food. You’ll save so much money and it will taste better.

In response to DH reply. THERE WAS ZERO CONFUSION WITH MY PLAN you guys are a rip off and just send the same replies to all of your bad reviews.

I’ve ordered several boxes… each time…

I’ve ordered several boxes… each time with issues. First box had several open items. Once my entire box arrived thawed and refrozen. Most recently had several items in the box thawed and then several wrong items. Don’t waste your time.

Beware of this company - Bad reviews are warranted

I am giving them two stars, only because they finally agreed to cancel my plan and refund me for an order that was not planned or wanted.

The app doesn’t allow you to pause your plan, even though the instructions clearly say you can do it through the app.

After getting sick from an order a couple of months ago, I decided to take a break. After the recall I wanted to get more info before I resumed orders. Then today I received an order out of the blue, with no heads up or notice.

Beware of the reviews, this company is shady.

Found pieces of plastic in two of my…

Found pieces of plastic in two of my smoothies. Sent them to DH as requested over a week ago and no one has been back in touch. They say our health and safety is their top priority but very underwhelmed on their handling of this situation. Canceled my membership and recommend you stay away.
